My new little writing hideaway…

The other weekend I shoved my MacBook into a bag, packed some comfy jumpers and set off towards the coast, away from city life and endless draw of social engagements to get some real work done on book two of the Rose Trilogy, The Descent.

At times a change of scenery is all a writer needs to get the words flowing again. I wasn’t so much blocked as simply did not have time to get any real work accomplished while absorbed in my day to day London life. So I booked a quant little miners cottage in Aldeburgh, called Cissy’s Cottage and hid myself away with a bottle of wine and a roaring fire and set to work

The setting could not have been more perfect and not only did the seaside local, The Cross Keys Inn, provide a good writing spot away from my little nook, but the surroundings of abbey ruins and fallen castles, were perfect for the second instalment of Rose, which unlike The Awakening, takes place in the English countryside rather than the city.
